I am so sad to be posting this……

Over the last 7 and a bit years, we have been renting out our Byre as holiday accommodation, and we have met the most lovely people, many of which, have become personal friends.

Unfortunately, due to changes in Scottish legislation and the fact that the Byre was a converted cowshed, built by my great-great grandfather from local, rough stone, we find that it is so onerous to comply with some of the ridiculous requirements, that we’ve made the very hard decision to take it off the holiday rental market.

We are heartbroken, not just because it was a valuable source of income, (and helpEd to pay for my horses😂), but mainly because we loved meeting such lovely folk and enjoying their reaction to the views, wildlife and the welcoming experience of the Kilchoan community at large.

Jim and I just want to thank ALL of our former guests, (many of whom we keep in contact with), for their custom and cracking reviews😂😂.

Even although we cannot accommodate you going forward, if you find yourselves back in the area, PLEASE, PLEASE, come and see us. I promise you a very warm welcome and a dram (or cuppa).

Thank you all for supporting us over the years. It’s greatly appreciated and we love you all.

Good morning folks. Due to last minute cancellations, we have availability at Hazelbank Byre for the following dates:- Saturday 20th - Friday 26 th August inclusive and from Saturday 27th August to Friday 2nd September inclusive. The Byre is perfect for 2 people and up to 2 well behaved dogs - sorry, but no children as not insured for kids due to logburner and open patio area at the front of the property. £560 per week. Hi folks,
After a pretty wet, windy and disappointing May, June and the start of July, thankfully, the warm, dry weather has returned!😂😂. We’re sitting at a lovely high teens and early 20’sC - pleasant, but not oppressive.
Lots to look forward to in the Kilchoan calendar in July and August - Sports, show and Regatta and the associated ceilidhs! Can’t wait!😂😂😂
