Laga Lodge nestles on the shores of Loch Sunart. It’s the perfect spot for everybody that loves being out on the water, or who enjoys exploring the outdoors, wildlife-spotting and discovering hidden corners of this remote and beautiful part of the Scottish west coast.

We’ve our own slipway, pontoons and moorings, while the Lodge provides self-catering accommodation for up to six people, with a large open-plan living, dining and kitchen area, and a private balcony with stunning views.

Toby, our unofficial one-dog welcoming committee, has been busy in recent weeks, making sure that guests to Laga Lodge are well looked after, and that everything is paw-fect!

Alongside Alison, he’s often around for check-in, keeping a watchful eye on events, just in case there’s the chance of a good fuss or maybe a dog treat or two!
Understandably, Toby may be a little biased, but if you ask he’ll tell you how good Laga Lodge is for relaxing and watching the view, for walks, splashing in the sea, exploring rockpools and, if that’s your thing, chasing sticks.

Laga Lodge has been purpose-built with comfortable self-catering stays in mind, with plenty of space for up to seven guests.

Underfloor heating keeps things cosy throughout the lodge, while the open-plan kitchen and living area gives everyone space to spend time together. There’s also fast WiFi, a large drying room and off-road parking on site.

And, of course, there’s that south-facing balcony overlooking Loch Sunart waiting for you outside.

Meet the team behind Laga Lodge and Ardnamurchan Charters: Andy and Allison Jackson.

Together with a small number of staff (and of course Toby the dog), they ensure that guests to our self-catering lodge or who join us on our wildlife trips around Loch Sunart have a fantastic holiday break.

Andy is an engineer, scuba diver and qualified skipper, and Alison is a retired nurse. Both are active members of the local community and play a key role in conservation initiatives, including Carna Coast and Communities; this community-based charity brings people together to understand and respond to the changing environments in and around Loch Sunart - goals that are close to Andy and Alison’s hearts.

Often the first person - sorry, dog - that guests to Laga Lodge meet is Toby. He’s an important part of the team and makes sure that we’re kept on our toes to provide everyone who stays with us the perfect holiday experience.

Toby is a gentle soul and loves to say ‘hello’ to each guest. If you’d like to meet him you can book our self-catering lodge on the shores of Loch Sunart - we still have some availability for later this year - or take one of our wildlife charters through our sister company Ardnamurchan Charters; although Toby’s not so keen on boats, so he’ll wish you ‘Bon Voyage’ from the safety of the slipway!
