We’ve had quite bad weather recently, a lot of rain, low temperatures….and no blue skies 💙. Things are changing a wee bit for the better and it’s fab to see blue skies, albeit fleetingly! We’ve just had a lovely family from the states staying and we love when the wee ones give reviews!

More lovely guests taking time to leave us reviews (thank you 😁 it really does mean so much and is so helpful for future guests). They also wrote in the book but I forgot to take a photo 😆. I know I’m biased but we really do have the best people staying at The Neuk and this fab group were Scottish! A nice wee change after a run of international guests!

We don’t have many one-night stays - just the odd one to fill in the gaps. I think this is the biggest compliment for whether you stay a week or in this case, a lovely group from Kentucky who were in the house less than 12 hours!

The cosy comment is also important because it may be July, with the rest of the UK and Europe are in a heatwave…. but the NW highlands did NOT get the memo! 🌧️ 🌫️💨 😃

We want you to feel at home and relaxed when you stay here ….and cosy too if the weather is being typically Scottish!

Making the most of wee bits of blue sky and sunshine today to enjoy the gorgeous roses (which smell unbelievable 🩷) and meadow lawn! We’ve more rain on the way but next week looks glorious! 🌞

The sun is trying hard to come out (and stay out) which is very welcome after such a wet spell. The grass has just been cut and as we did last year, we only cut some of it, allowing access to the garden with some paths to wander around. More importantly, the spaces in between are full of wildflowers, bees and birds all making the most of the natural environment. My favourite are the beautiful orchids which are often dark purple but we also have these stunning lilac ones too 🌼🌺🌸🪻🌹
