Well at last the summer has arrived and Balloch is busy. We are still getting people from Europe cancelling in light of the restrictions either side of the channel however most current visitors are from England and Wales so lots of people deciding to have a staycation.

Let’s hope the weather stays bright and sunny so our guests can see Scotland in all its glory. ☀️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿☀️

Well today we are finally allowed to reopen for tourists. Fingers crossed the bookings continue to increase with lots of staycations, and at least guests can dine albeit outdoors if they want a drink to accompany their meal or indoors with non alcoholic drinks.
17th May is when the next phase of the roadmap out of lockdown happens and indoor hospitality with a drink can happen. Further relaxation in June and July should see a return to “normal”

Season finally up and running, COVID has had an obvious effect during these past months and like everyone else we have had to make the best of it.

Balloch has sprung into life albeit with social distancing, however there are tourists about and mostly from UK so people just want to get away for a break.

We know the feeling well but alas we’ll have to wait a little longer before we get a wee break, in the meantime we’re both working hard to salvage the summer and we have our health so onwards and upwards 👍

Still busy despite the poor weather, Balloch is always popular both as a place of interest, with Loch Lomond in particular attracting visitors to see its beauty and also as a great stop off point for those venturing to the Highlands and Islands or on their returning journey. We’ve been lucky and met some fantastic people from all over the world and despite the hard work we’re enjoying running the B&B

Summers here, I hope, and we are now having to work for a living still that’s what it’s about We are getting lots of bookings and meeting great people and who knows you may be here soon!

The tourist season is fading quickly and we have been quiet midweek but a nearly full house this weekend 😀Looking forward to some recharging of the batteries during the next few weeks as we approach Christmas and we can get on with all the little odd jobs around the house
