Restoring a much-loved part of Care Ashore 🌿

Thanks to the generous support of The National Lottery Community Fund, work is underway to restore our Walled Garden on the Springbok Estate.

The project will revitalise the rose walkway, repair the glasshouses and improve accessibility with new paths, seating and sensory planting. These improvements will create an even more welcoming space for residents, holiday guests and visitors alike.

The project will also bring the local community together, with volunteers from nearby villages and businesses encouraged to join the renovations 💚

Important notice: Fishing lake temporarily closed 🎣

Due to the current high temperatures, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close the fishing lake at the Springbok Estate.

The health and welfare of our fish must come first, and the extreme heat can place significant stress on them. Closing the lake will help protect the fish during these challenging conditions.

We’ll continue to monitor conditions closely and reopen the lake as soon as it is safe to do so.

What a weekend! 🎶

We were delighted to welcome the Alfold Rock and Blues Festival to Care Ashore, with campers, music lovers and visitors enjoying a fantastic few days in the sunshine.

Our campsite and facilities were the perfect base for the event, and it was wonderful to see so many people enjoying great live music, relaxing with friends and calling in at The Springbok Grill for something tasty to eat.
