The Old Pound Inn A proper village pub in the heart of Aller. We do good food, cold pints, and a warm welcome. Eight rooms to stay & events most weeks.

Run by Lea - she’ll look after you. Formerly known as the White Lion Public House, this 16th -century pub was re-christened the Old Pound Inn in 1980, named after the old village animal pound that occupied the site before it became a pub. The Old Pound Inn has a good selection of West Country beers that are pulled from the sprung stillage in our cellar. We have an open Dutch fire at the centre of

the bar, a lounge area and snug, as well as a 44-seat restaurant serving good honest food daily. We are of course a dog-friendly place - ask your server if they have any dog snacks available!

Now then - tonight's the night!

Jay is back at the Old Pound Inn this evening, and if you've seen him before, you'll know exactly why I'm excited.

He's one of my favourites - brilliant live music, proper atmosphere, and a great excuse to come in for a drink (or two 😄).

I've had a bit of a shake-up with the live music calendar this year, so just so you know - after tonight, the next live music will be Dabinets over in September. So if you love a good live session, tonight really is the one to catch.

Oh, and good news for the pool players - the table's staying put tonight. Jay doesn't need the full space so you can have your game and your live music. Best of both worlds!

No booking needed, just come in from 8pm and enjoy.

Wednesday treats from 6pm-9pm. Our perfectly cooked steaks come with your choice of drink (medium house wine or any pint):

• 8oz Rump - Just £18.50
• 10oz Ribeye - £22

AND for families - kids eat for just £2 plus a free scoop of ice cream with each paying adult. Proper family night out without breaking the bank!
