While the facilities are basic they are perfect as a base for exploring a truly picturesque part of Kent. We had an amazing time and really loved being able to bring our puppy along for the holiday!

I went on the Kentish Lady, Allington Castle tour yesterday.
Stunning! And aided by the weather!
The Campsite & the Castle are neighbours, sharing the same car park!

🌍 Only 5 weeks left before the campsite closes for the season! Since July, we’ve welcomed guests from across the globe — with the most recent travelling from Scotland🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 & China 🇨🇳

Very easy to find, lovely location by the lock with miles of tow path to walk along by the canal. The cafe and pub are both within view of the campsite, which is ideal if you don't want to self-cater. The cabin was very simply furnished but ideal for us as we often go camping, so we just brought everything we would for a camping trip.

Beautiful safe and secure location especially for our 2.5 Yr German Shepherd. Graham and April his daughter were a joy. Lovely kind people. Close to local amenities if needed. We ate out two nights at the beefeater pub. Very good. Lots of lovely chatty nice folk around the area. Lock staff were helpful. Parking is very good. Great for a base to explore. Peaceful on an evening. Very quiet. Loved our stay. Would definitely be back.
