I can not believe how useless I am at this. Spent about an hour yesterday telling you all about life on Alnwick Moor only to have lost the entire post.
Please if you find it return to me as it was definitely the best one I have ever done and I will never aspire to such entertaining and informative heights again. I am so sorry you missed it . However I will endeavour to fill in a few recent additions and activities here at The Night Owl.
One exciting addition is a very rare bearded puma. Only ever seen before in its native habitat next door to the Artic circle , I am delighted to share a picture with you.
Lucky guests may have the opportunity to walk with this creature and observe it in its perfect new habitat.
Some may suggest that's its my garden but it has been specially adapted for the puma which I have named Archie.
Another new resident is an Eagle owl in my owl box. This has caused a huge amount of interest in the local owl watching community and as you can imagine a lot of distress to the other animals. I have had a word and it agrees to become a vegetarian like the rest . I am feeding it on my own home grown rocket which has speeded up its flight no end.By the way the man holding the owl was over 10 foot which makes it look less than an Eagle owl than it actually is.
Also new is the terrace area for the teddy bears picnic.
They are happy to share with guests and friends.
My stripeless zebra is due to have a zebralet next month. As you can see she is now quite fat. I am hoping she has a stripy baby but who knows. .

Now for the photographic evidence.

Well it has been a long time since I have done one of these. My only friend has suggested I make more effort and I think she could be right . So just for her a catch up on activities at The Night Owl.
The weather has not been favorable to my wildlife park. Disappointingly many of my elephants and giraffes escaped. This is a great source of grief to my guests but they seem to very excited with a few new exhibits.
I have a small brownish furry animal running about.
It has a striking white tail and may be a rare Puruvian rabbisher. Very interesting . I honestly think it could well prove a winner with my guests.
I also have acquired a stunning black panther of the bearded variety. Yes I know you have not heard of one before as very few people have heard, let alone actually seen one.
I am delighted to have been chosen by many experts in the wild life world to look after this delightful creature.
It is alleged that Prince Charles was particularly keen that I was the best person for the job.
Thanks Chuck. ( we are great friends!)
During the storms my indoor animals did get a little stressed that the house was falling down. They tried to escape by climbing out of a window. Silly really as I used the stairs which were so much easier.
I took a picture of them to remind them that better plans were available.
So I am now planning further improvements to my park. Waiting for a rainforest I ordered on Amazon Prime. It should be here today.
I will post the pictures very soon.

Hello. Its been so long since I have been in touch. No doubt you were all concerned for my welfare and worried I may have been eaten by the animals. Fear not they are still vegetarians and I am still alive.
Been so busy with guests that time has skipped along.
I have had some really lovely guests staying, including someone called( I think) Hugo Grant. He was here to do some sort of filming. I have no idea if he was an actor or camera person but people do seem to know him . He was particularly taken with the ostrich which has just arrived. His friend , who tells me he was in some sort of historical drama was very keen to return when the elephant is settled in. I had to tell them that I am extremely busy but would put them on a waiting list.. They were very grateful and I look forward to having the time to welcome them back at some point
I have to say the friend was quite good looking for a cameraman. Perhaps he will get a small part in a film soon.
I have included a picture of the ostrich in the garden for you all.
Take care.

Birds and beasties .
I am very pleased to let you all know that all the animals are now out of hibernation. I spotted a few hiding in the tropical garden I have created especially for them. This plant is of particular interest as it does not usually live so far up north. Actually during a chat with Monty he said he had never seen such a specimen before and is so excited he promised to return during g the summer when it will be 10 metres in height and covered with exquisite brown flowers and producing many types of fruit including bananas and pineapples.
I have not the heart to tell him I expect to have many guests by then and probably will not be able to accommodate him and his film crew. ( I would imagine he would like to move his whole series here if I allowed him. He just adores my gardening skills. )
I also found a few cheeky animals on the new bird table. You would be amazed at the size of the birds I feed in relation to the wildlife.
I am now getting into gear for a grand reopening very soon . I have a really really special surprise in store for the big day. I will reveal all in good time. Just to wet the appetite it never be seen or done again in your life time.
Back soon. Fiona

Hurrah. I am reopening on the 17th May.I expect my future guests to be a little quieter than these two

Hello from a very cold and snowy Northumberland. It seems madness but here we are definitely moving towards spring. In fact as you can see new arrivals in baby department are already appearing. Let me introduce our newest babies. Mrs Hedgehog picked the perfect place for her new babies.
One of our lovely guest beds. Luckily available for her due to lack of humans.
A very interesting little brood of, it would seem mixed parentage. She is keeping mum on that point!.
Recently I went for a lovely walk from my front door and thought you may enjoy a short video of the views. Spectacular I hope you agree.
It was so clear you can see the Himalayas in the distance.
Ok I may be exaggerating the range of mountains and as would hate to lead you up the mountain path . They are of course the Pyrenees!!.
I like to think that all my posts are honest and informative about the activities and excitements at The Night Owl.
I must go now. There is a giraffe at the door.
Until next time.
