🌿 Last-minute July Availability at Kielder Chalet 🌿

We are almost fully booked throughout July and August, but a last-minute cancellation means Kielder Chalet is now available for 7 nights from Saturday 4th July.

This dog-friendly Scandinavian-style chalet sleeps up to 4 guests and is perfectly located for exploring Northumberland's beaches, castles and countryside.

Guests also enjoy complimentary access to the Village Farm Health Club, with the swimming pool, gym and spa facilities just a short stroll away.

If you're bored with the usual retail parks and high street chains, the centre of Alnwick is where you'll find the quirky shops, bars and cafe's.

Alnwick's Narrowgate and Fenkle Street have a wonderful mix of independent shops, cosy cafés, welcoming pubs and local businesses. It's the perfect place to wander, browse and discover something unique ☕🛍️🍰

If you're staying with us, its only a couple of miles from our cottages so its great for an afternoon out.

One of our most-loved favourites is getting a fresh new look and will be ready to welcome guests from August.

Currently undergoing a complete refurbishment, Sally's Flat will feature an enlarged bathroom, a new outdoor staircase and porch, plus its own private patio and garden seating area.

Perfect for a couple, or a couple with a baby, it's set to become a cosy countryside hideaway with all the character you've come to love. 💚

We can't wait to share the finished result with you!

🚣‍♂️ SET YOUR NEW ROWING GOAL 🚣‍♀️

When was the last time you challenged yourself on the rowing machine?

Whether you're completely new to rowing or it's already part of your routine, setting a goal can add a new level of motivation to your training.

💥 New to rowing?
Start with a simple target such as 500m, 1,000m, or a steady 5-minute row. Focus on technique and consistency.

⚡ Looking for a new challenge?
Try interval training:
• 10 x 100m sprints
• 5 x 500m efforts with recovery between each round
• Row as far as you can in 10 minutes

🌟 Prefer endurance?
Challenge yourself to:
• 5,000m
• 10,000m
• A personal best distance in 20 or 30 minutes

Rowing is one of the best full-body workouts available, building strength, endurance, and cardiovascular fitness while being low impact on the joints.

As we offer self-catering holidays, one of the questions we’re asked most often is “Where are the nearest shops?” 😊

We have a handy little supermarket right here in Shilbottle for essentials, and just a couple of miles away you’ll find Alnwick, with its retail park, supermarkets, independent shops, cafés and everything you might need during your stay 🛍️☕🛒

The retail park is also home to the famous Turnbull’s Butchers, perfect for picking up local produce, picnic treats or something special for the BBQ 🍔🥩🔥
