We've been slowly working on our vegan menu for the past couple of years so it's lovely to receive good feedback.

Here's our tofu forestiere (English muffin, mushrooms, tofu and vegan hollandaise sauce) and our vegan Northumberland breakfast (homemade vegan Glamorgan sausage, tomato, mushrooms, spinach and scrambled tofu).

🌅 Sometimes it's worth getting up early 🌅

About an hour after sunrise this morning (sunrise would definitely have been a touch too early for our liking 😂) at Alnmouth beach. The clouds were lovely and the weather was perfect... don't worry; we were back in time to cook breakfasts 😉

Plums!

It's that time of year again... stewed plums with vanilla and amaretto on the breakfast menu.

We have two Victoria plum trees and both have a good crop this year.

This little bundle of cuteness (one of a litter of three this year) has been feeding during the day for the past few days. After taking professional advice, we weighed it today, before putting it back in the garden.

After a few seconds of release, it was tucking straight back in to its food. It is also moving freely and quickly, and is eating well, so we aren't currently too worried about it.

We will be keeping an eye on it's weight over the next few months to ensure that it is of a suitable weight to survive hibernation (it needs to treble in weight by December... which shouldn't be a problem if it keeps eating like it currently is).
