Hi Chris and Sharon - we had an amazing stay at the Hayloft in July and we were asked to review by Holidaycottages.co.uk
“We had a lovely week at the Hayloft in early July. We were joined for the first weekend by family but we had the cottage to ourselves for the rest of the week. So much space!!!
We arrived to find lovely flowers and a welcome basket with wine, bread, milk, marmalade, coffee pods and dog treats.
The cottage is as beautifully decorated as the photos show and the owners have gone to great lengths to furnish it with everything that you might need for a fabulous week.
We used to do holiday lets ourselves so we know how much attention to detail is required to create and maintain this level of service! The provision of a very effective fan in the lounge was particularly welcome during the heatwave!
The beautiful decor and quality products (even down to White Company toiletries) meant this felt like a really special place to use as a base for our days out. The location couldn’t be better as it was pretty central for everywhere.
We visited Cragside (NT), Berwick, a very windy Lindisfarne and Alnwick. We picnicked at Breamish and on the way home we visited Housesteads Roman fort (English Heritage but we got free entry with our NT membership by using a code when we booked). We saw the amazing red poppy field that is in the village and the purple field on the way to Berwick - simply amazing!
The EV charger worked like a dream and was so convenient. At 50p kWh it was quite reasonably priced too.
We ate out at the Percy Arms a couple of times and had lovely food with cheerful service.
Sadly the sky was quite cloudy with a full moon when we stayed so no dark skies with stars for us - this time - we will of course be back!
Thanks Chris and Sharon for the great communication and for letting us use your lovely property.”
Happy to post it elsewhere if you can tell us where - I can’t find you on Tripadvisor.
Best wishes
John and Linda Hobson
