Hey, there. Angela and I wanted to let you know that Top Cafe will be closing this week after Tuesday (30/8) for a facelift and rebranding. I apologise for taking away the Monday café option; I know that it's next to impossible on a Monday in Alston, to go out for a coffee or lunch. But, we'll open back up in due course. In the mean time, you can still order pies and pasties from Angela by contacting her at [email protected].

Definitely the furthest travelled customers in the cafe today,they were from Malaysia! They were driving the route from London to Edinburgh and back for a holiday in preparation for his taking part in the LEL cycle race that's coming through Alston TWICE in August. They cycle all night, and compete to finish the race in 125 hours😲. After sampling food at the cafe, ( a bit of everything, the table was groaning with soup, pies, pasties, cheesecake and cookies) He's threatening to come back in August, and bring another 2000 cyclists with him!
