Good Evening everyone!
It is with a heavy heart we are having to write this post!
Unfortunately this yearβs Hogmanay Ceilidh has to be cancelled. We understand this is extremely last minute and trust us, it is a decision that has not been taken lightly over the last few days. The staff are as disappointed about this decision as you all will be.
We have already noticed a number of posts being spread online with incorrect information regarding this matter and we wanted to ensure all of our valued customers have the correct information regarding the cancellation and the reasons surrounding this decision.
Our wonderful site owner Paul, who I am sure many of you know and have bumped into on the park over the years has been hospitalised due to ill health. Another two team memberβs have also been called into hospital for an early induction for the arrival of their baby girl due to complications.
Due to these extremely unfortunate circumstances, we no longer have a full team able to assist with pulling off such a large event safely - it takes a village to organise an event of this scale and we have been working extremely hard over the last few months to get it planned.
The team at The Woods will be making a phone call to everyone with Ceilidh tickets over the next few days. We are doing this in methodical order based on arrival date. A full refund for all tickets will be issued. We also understand people may wish to cancel their pitches, and we are happy to issue a refund on those deposits as well. The staff are working extremely hard to ensure they get in touch with each and every one of you with a booking.
At this time we truly appreciate your compassion and understanding, and please ask everyone to respect the staff who have to make these difficult phone calls over the next few days. We will be in touch with everyone and the office will be open for calls between 10am and 3pm.
The park will still be open and operational as normal over Hogmanay, and we hope to see you all over the festive period despite the unfortunate news today. After all, New Year is what you make it and I am sure you will be surrounded with friends and fellow campers to share a dram with and bring in the bells π π₯
Again, please accept our sincerest apologies in regard to this last minute cancellation and we thank you for your understanding at this difficult time. We wish all of our customers a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year when the time comes! π
