After 15 years of successfully letting Bamff Old Brewhouse as self catering accommodation, we expanded five years ago to include Gate Lodge, a two bedroom cottage within yards of Britain's most spectacular beaver wetland, The Beaver Hideaway, a hide with a double bed for romantic nocturnal wildlife watching overlooking two beaver ponds; and two beautiful Mongolian yurts in the wooded area at the b
ack of the castle. Booking can be done through our website: www.bamff.co.uk
Bamff, a small estate on the edge of the Scottish highlands in east Perthshire, has been home to the Ramsay family since 1232. In the last thirty years, Paul and Louise Ramsay have managed the land with emphasis on ecological restoration; planting native woods, restoring wetlands and reintroducing beavers. The result is an extraordinary and stunning resurgence in nature: plants, birds, mammals, fish, amphibians, insects and fungi; attracting biologists, journalists, nature photographers, wildlife enthusiasts and tourists. We are now launching a new rewilding programme begun on Jan 1st 2020 with the removal of sheep from ten fields - aiming yo create 450 acres of wild land through conservation grazing.
