We've been enjoying some amazing weather the past few weeks and luckily we've been able to get out and about in the afternoons when we have no new arrivals 😁

Whilst the southern half of the country swelters in the mid 30's 🥵 we've been enjoying mid to high 20's so we took a walk around Buttermere and enjoyed a cooling swim in the lake 😎

Buttermere is our favourite lake and is only a 40 minute drive from the Guesthouse (we highly recommend popping in to The Bridge Inn for a post hike drink and amazing food 🍺)

Another busy Bank Holiday weekend in the Lakes but if you want to get away from it all and enjoy our amazing scenery just ask us for advice over our fabulous cooked breakfast😋.

We've climbed every single Wainwright peak in the Lake District and know all the quieter spots you can hike or swim in. This secluded tarn is just a 40 minute hike from a car park and can be combined with a longer hike to an amazing Farmhouse teashop 🍰
