Watching tonight’s ~92% solar eclipse peak over the fells right from our Ambleside balcony! 🌘✨

Remember: since we aren't in the path of totality here in the UK, certified solar glasses (ISO 12312-2) must stay on for 100% of the view. No naked-eye looking! 🕶️👍



Balcony Viewing & Safety Checklist:
Peak Timing: Maximum coverage hits Ambleside around 7:08–7:11 PM BST.
Eye Protection: Use ISO 12312-2 standard viewers or a pinhole projector. Regular sunglasses or camera viewfinders without solar filters are unsafe!

Another productive day getting the grounds looking sharp with Dave! We made great progress tidying up the pathways and planters, and as a bonus, managed to harvest a batch of fresh wild blackberries along the way. Nothing beats a sunny day of garden maintenance with a delicious treat to show for it! ☀️🧺🫐
