About last weekend in the lakes. Where some great people come and run the Montane lakeland 50 or 100.
Each year we get to see Jackie Stretton , who this year completed it for the 10th time. This lady is amazing. Her story is amazing. And this year she talked her sister Adele into trying the 50.
The distance they run is incredible and with the smiles to say how happy they are to be doing it! (Well maybe not for Adele😀)
Massive applause to all that completed it 👏👏👏👏

6 years ago today that Steve and I took over here at Wanslea Guest House .
It has been successful so far and we've loved it.

So a few of our guests and regulars will know about this, however back in May, my brother in law was diagnosed with Gastroesophageal cancer. 12 weeks on, and after lots of tests, yesterday he began the 1st of 4 rounds of FLOT chemotherapy. This is before surgery later in the year and then more chemotherapy. I have decided to do some fund raising, it is for a young ish charity, that we have gained quite a bit of knowledge about this disease from. So on 13th September I am shaving my head for the cause. If you feel you want to or can, your support for this charity would I am sure be greatly received. Thankyou Tina ❤️

We stayed with you in May this year. 4 of us, a great UK holiday.



I was reminded of our stay while I was cooking breakfast this morning. My efforts were good, but not a patch on yours, in fact our Wansley breakfast wasn’t beaten in our 6 week holiday, and that includes our week in Singapore.



I don’t remember if I thanked you before – but anyway here it is, 6 months late. You made a great impression on us.
