☀️It's been a beautiful morning down by the lakeside today❄️

We had some light snowfall on the fells overnight, which has persisted on the higher fells. Hope you can get out and make the most of the clear conditions while it lasts!

After a long hiatus, our page is now back up and running. We'll be keeping you up to date with hostel news and events, as well as spreading the love for our beautiful local area.

Do you enjoy gardening?
Do you have a couple of hours a week to spare?
If so we'd love to hear from you!

We're currently seeking volunteer gardeners to continue the work that was started by our Reception Manager, volunteer working parties, and Ambleside Action for a Future.

Over the last few years they have filled the beds with perennial flowers and bulbs, created a wild flower strip in the grass and created a series bug hostels.

Due to our Reception Manger (and avid gardener) moving on we're now looking for local volunteers who would like to commit to taking on the maintenance of the flower beds so that they don't get over run by weeds, and to prune the shrubs when necessary, to keep the project alive ensuring the work that has been done to create a beautiful area and increase biodiversity continues to thrive.

Many of our YHA Hostels are set within grounds and have garden spaces. We’re looking for volunteer support to help us maintain and develop our green spaces. Whether you’re green fingered, looking to get into gardening or just keen to spend some time outdoors, we’d love to hear from you. Typica...
