The National Trust own and manage four campsites in the Lake District: Low Wray on the quiet west shore of Windermere, Great Langdale in the Great Langdale valley not far from Ambleside, Wasdale in the remote Western valleys and Hoathwaite, a very basic site on the shores of Coniston Water.
