New opportunities to join our team

Ees Wyke is a privately owned, award winning,
9-bedroom Guest House in Near Sawrey.

All posts offer permanent position. Excellent rates of pay and full training is given.

We are looking for extra help to join our small team.
Our ideal person will be self-motivated, reliable, and have an eye for detail.

Breakfast service & General assistant.
Breakfast service from 0830-1130 and general duties 1130-1330.
Mondays. Tuesday, Thursday and some weekends.

Housekeeping
We are recruiting for 2 part time Housekeepers to maintain a high standard of housekeeping throughout the house, from front of house to bedrooms.
Days by arrangement to include 1 weekend day. Hours 1100-1400.
Self-employed also considered.

Evening dinner service
Hours 7:00-9:30/10:00pm 3 nights per week. Days will vary but will include a weekend.

Did you know that in 1919, Beatrix Potter helped to set up a Nursing Trust for the villages of Near/Far Sawrey, Wray, and Hawkshead? She even provided housing and a car for the nurse! Beatrix saw a need for access and improvement to healthcare in the villages. This trust lasted until 1948 when the National Health Service took over.

Did you know? Smuggling was rife in Cumbria during the 18th and 19th centuries, with its rugged terrain, hidden coves, and remote villages making it the perfect place for illicit trade. Smugglers brought in contraband like rum, brandy, tea, and to***co from the Isle of Man and Scotland, using secret inland routes to dodge the excise men patrolling the coast.
