Fancy a wee Summer break in the glorious East Neuk? Anstruther in August is awesome 🤩
The place is buzzing and there’s the added bonus of the Pittenweem Arts Festival from Saturday 1 through to Saturday 8th August 2026. One of Scotland’s most unique arts festivals where the entire village becomes a vibrant, creative destination.
Let’s not forget that Anstruther is a 15 minute drive to The Home of Golf, and all that the fabulous town of St Andrews has to offer.
My personal favourite, is the wild Swimming along the East Neuk coast, with the tidal pools at Cellardyke, Pittenweem and St Monans all within easy reach of Anstruther. The Scottish Wild Sauna at Kingsbarns beach is just divine!
The Fife Coastal Path links all the local villages, which means a walk from Anstruther to Crail or St Monans for example, would take around an hour, and is sure to delight you with the awesome sea views.
