Here in we’ve been very excited and lucky to have at least one humpback whale taking an early summer holiday between the harbour and the Isle of May for a couple of weeks now. If any of our guests manage to spot it, let us know!!

Ranger Ranald Update

'Tayside strolling? If you live along the Tay estuary, it will be worth keeping an eye out offshore or even better take some binoculars or your camera. It won't be long before this shape looms from the Silvery Tay.

Bottlenose Dolphins are a regular feature off Tayport and Tenstmuir coast. A good time is 2 hours or so before High Tide Dundee and look along the Broughty Ferry shoreline for give away bow waves and dark back rolls.

These Dolphins can range along the East coast between Moray Firth and down the Forth and are noticed from now until September, with the best months being June-August.
Even if you don't sight a Dolphin, a Porpoise is possible too.
