Perfect walk along the Ullswater Way with stunning views on land and water. Ullswater Steamers from Glenridding to Howtown. Then a gentle meander back the 7 miles along the lakeside. Fabulous!

When it's hot what better than to visit one of Cumbria's fantastic lesser known waterfalls. And even better when you have the place to yourself during the week. Ashgill Force near Alston with lots of lovely pools to cool off in. We made a circular walk of it from nearby Garrigill.

South facing garden so a real sun trap.
Enclosed and private for guests to enjoy.

Pennine Potting shed enclosed garden looking particularly colourful at this time of year.

Lovely paved seating area with pretty borders.

We have an outdoor hose for muddy boots or dogs, and even have a boot warmer inside to dry off wet boots.

Located in Dufton, we're perfectly placed for the Pennine Way, Teesdale Way, Ravensber Way and Pennine Journey.

A great place to relax after a hard day's walking!

Cycling around the Eden valley lanes is a real treat. Stunning scenery and quiet country lanes . Plenty of pretty villages to find a bench to sit on or find a coffee shop or pub for lunch.
Brings your bikes , we have storage and plenty of cycle routes from the door.
