🌠 TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT — Lyrid Meteor Shower PEAK! ☄️

If you're with us at Ardlui Holiday Park this week, step outside tonight for something truly magical! Tonight (Tuesday into the early hours of Wednesday) marks the peak of the Lyrid meteor shower, one of the oldest recorded meteor showers in history, going back as far as 2,500 years!

And where better to watch it than from the northern shores of Loch Lomond? 🏔️🌊 With some of the darkest, clearest skies in Scotland right on our doorstep, you could be in for an absolutely stunning show.

The skies over Ardlui are looking clear tonight, and with barely any moon to speak of, conditions are pretty much perfect! 🌙✨

Here's how to get the best from it:
⏰ Head outside after midnight — 2am onwards is the sweet spot
👀 Give your eyes 15–20 minutes to adjust to the dark
🌌 Lie back and take in as much sky as you can
🧥 Wrap up well — it's a cold one up here!

You could see up to 20–30 meteors per hour streaking over the loch and the mountains. Pure magic. 💫
