Better late than never! 🎄

A huge thank you to everyone who supported the Markethill Masonic Lodge 888 Christmas Kids Party back in December. Because of your generosity and help, it was a fantastic day for all the children.

There was plenty of food, lots of gifts, fun and laughter, and of course a very special visit from Santa 🎅. None of it would have been possible without the amazing support from our community, volunteers, and everyone who contributed in any way.

Your kindness helped create a really special day and plenty of happy memories for the kids.
We truly appreciate every bit of support.

Markethill Masonic Lodge No. 888 were pleased to recently present two cheques in the sum of £1,000 each to the charities Marie Curie - Northern Ireland and Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke

The funds were raised through our recent Visitors Night, and sincere thanks are extended to all who attended and contributed so generously.

TEN REASONS TO BECOME A FREEMASON

1. Masonry is a place where you can confidently trust every person, and entrust your family with them.

2. Masonry is a place where, within moral and civil guidelines; free thought, free speaking and the spiritual growth of man can grow into its fullest potential.

3. Masonry is a place which provides the opportunity to meet, know, and call brother, outstanding individuals from all walks of life that I would not otherwise have met.

4. Masonry is a place to be a part of an organization that has for its principle tenets ---Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth.

5. Masonry is a place that provides self-development opportunities, leadership training and experience, and to improve public speaking skills.

6. Masonry is a place you can go to give support as well as seek it.

7. Masonry is a place where moral virtues are taught and through these teachings a regular reinforcement of the moral virtues is experienced.

To all brethren of Markethill Masonic 888 attending our visitors night lodge meeting on Mon 19th Nov. We are providing tea and biscuits as refreshments after the Somme presentation for our guests. Please bring if possible a contribution of biscuits cakes or buns for the supper, this would be very much appreciated. (No sandwiches thank you)

Brethren, Markethill Masonic 888 are delighted to be hosting a special presentation by Mrs Carol Walker MBE, Director of the The Somme Association & Somme Museum entitled "Masons and the First World War". This presentation will be held directly after our November lodge meeting on Mon 19th Nov 2018 8:00 pm sharp . All brethren of 888 are encouraged to show their support of this event and your attendance would be greatly appreciated.
