The world-famous Corpus Christi festival and Carpet of Flowers at Arundel Cathedral takes place on Wednesday 3rd and Thursday 4th June 2026.

This spectacular, century-old tradition features thousands of freshly cut flowers laid in an intricate, sacred design down the central aisle of the Cathedral.

Key Events and Times:
* Viewing Times: The finished carpet will be on display on Wednesday from 9:30 AM – 7:00 PM and Thursday from 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM.
* Corpus Christi Mass & Procession: A special Mass begins at 5:30 PM on Thursday, followed by a traditional outdoor procession of the Blessed Sacrament that moves from the Cathedral into the courtyard of Arundel Castle, where Benediction is given.
* Accessibility & Cost: Entry to view the carpet is free and no booking is required.

It’s no secret that we love hosting Southdowns Way walkers and cyclists. They are always great company and appreciate their breakfast!

This weekend we hosted a group of Americans. The two ladies said they were on a mission to track down a Bakewell tart because they love watching The Great British Bake Off and apparently a Bakewell is something that regularly features.

I suggested they seek one out at Pallant of Arundel, Cockburns Tea Room, Arundel or Lulamae's.

But concerned that they might not find one, I made one of my own and surprised them with it this morning. They were delighted and pronounced it delicious! 😋.

Hosting happy guests is an absolute pleasure. And when one of the ladies said that staying here had felt like staying with her sister, I could think of no greater compliment. 🥰.
