After a hectic week where we were able to say goodbye to many of you personally that's it, we have closed our doors for the last time.
In a pub that is as old as The Waterloo Inn, any Landlord/lady/manager only ever writes a brief chapter in the Pub's history but I think our chapter is as interesting as any before. From March 2016 we built the pub up into a busy, thriving, vibrant community. Covid knocked us back on our heels (as it did everyone) and nothing was quite the same again. However, since the end of lockdown, Debs and Stevie (supported in the background by Steve) have persevered, served the wonderful communities of Biggin, Heathcote, Hartington and beyond, and had many fun, laughter-filled nights.
After 9.5 years at The Waterloo, we would like to thank each and everyone of you, staff, suppliers and customers alike for your hard work, support, custom, friendship and camaraderie.
In signing off, all that remains is to wish the new Leaseholders and management team the very best of luck and success going forward and encourage you all to visit and support the "new" Waterloo Inn when it re-opens again.
Thank you and goodbye.
