As you will know if we've bumped into each other over the last few months, I've neglected to get my hair cut recently.

After a conversation with a friend a short while ago, I have decided to have it all chopped off in one go, all in aid of the Little Princess Trust, who create wigs for children with cancer from hair donations.

Importantly, it costs around £550 to make a single wig, that's where you come in! (hint, by clicking the link below).

I'm planning to have it cut (v v short) on the morning of 6th December and if I can work the tech, it will be broadcast live on Facebook too.

Please find below a answers to a few common questions.
Q1. What do you provide?

A. We supply 2 towels per person plus a towel each for outside (hot tub) use,
Half a dozen toilet rolls (i.e. 2 per w/c),
Hand wash, washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs, washing powder, kitchen roll, dish cloths, tea-towels, tea, coffee, sugar.
All bedding for up to 10 guests.

Q2. How many car parking spaces are there?

A. There is ample off road parking for a least 4 cars, more if you don't mind blocking each other in (up to 6 in total).

Q3. We have organised an on line shop, have they been before?

A. We have had on-line shopping deliveries from pretty much all of the supermarkets previously, but it is advisable to add the following note to the order. "Orchard Barn & Anvil Cottage holiday accommodation R/O Yew Tree Farm" Our postal address is Yew Tree Farm, Stubby Lane, Draycott in the Clay, Nr Ashbourne, Derbyshire DE6 5BU.

Q4. Where can we eat out / are there any pubs within walking distance

A. There are 2 pubs within easywalking distance, The Swan & The Roebuck, both about a 10-15 min walk away. Of the 2, The Roebuck is probably the most popular with our guests for food. In the next village (Marchington, 40 min walk) there is the Dog & Partridge (live music every Sunday afternoon), also highly commended. Wherever you choose, please book in advance.

Q5. Can you recommend a local walk?

A. There is a nice 1 hour walk from the door via Banktop Road, through the bluebell woods and back across the fields. if you have os maps you can find it there (ORCHARD BARN 1 HOUR EASY WALK) remember to un check the 'show only premium routes' box.

Q6. Can you recommend a local taxi company?
A. We recommend John Port Travel, who can be contacted on 01283 515131. Not the cheapest, but extremely reliable, have a mini bus and know exactly how to find us.

Q7. Is the use of the hot-tub included in the price & will it be ready to use when we get there?

A. Yes. It will be pre-heated to approx 38 degrees centigrade by the time you arrive.Please note that there is a 10:30pm curfew on hot tub use. Thank you.
