It’s our lovely Lucy’s turn in the hot seat this week so here we go!

Lucy came to us a few years back after working in other pubs and she was like a missing puzzle piece 🧩

The calmness, the smile, the humour, this girl has it all going for her and by golly are we grateful she found us!

Lucy is currently studying criminology and psychology at Liverpool John Moores university but always finds her way back to us when she’s back home 🏡

She absolutely ADORES an espresso martini and when asked for a fun fact about herself we have been informed she can play the recorder through her nose… that’s a new one for us but we LOVE it!! 🪈

A genuine joy to have around and we miss her whenever she leaves but couldn’t be prouder of the young woman she’s growing into! 🏆

Bank holiday music did someone say? 🕺

We are excited to say that on Sunday the 30th of August we have THE Phat Gandalf back with us for an afternoon of top tunes and dad rock classics 🎤🪩

From 4pm - 6pm!

Our kitchen will be open from 12 midday till 3pm serving our basically famous roast dinners and then a BANGING BBQ 3pm-4:30pm
so get those snacks and dinners in before you burn it off dancing 💃

Thomas has DEMANDED that he’s next on the “Get to know the team” segment…

So here is is? The one and only Thomas!

Thomas has grown up in the village his whole life and is always on hand to come running to the rescue for the kitchen and out front ❤️

For only a 17 year old lad, Thomas is actually very sensible (sometimes) and has emotional maturity beyond his years which comes in very handy when the landlady is having a little moment 🥲

He has actually just completed his gold D of E which he smashed even if he did get bit by a tic and had to go to hospital 🏥 luckily he’s fine! Well the bite is fine! 😁

Thomas is wanting to get into a mechanical apprenticeship so if anyone knows anyone let us know! Plus he could then make sure all the girls at the pub are actually road safe.. 🚗

Thomas is genuinely a joy to have as part of the team and as much as sometimes it is like working with an annoying younger brother I don’t know what we’d do some days without him!

Next on our “meet the team” mission we have this amazing blonde bombshell!

Some fun facts to kick it off:
⭐️ Hannah studied karate for 9 years so is basically our in house bouncer
⭐️ she can do the PERFECT cartwheel
⭐️ favourite drink is a Hugo spritz or a mojito
⭐️ can count to ten in Japanese

Hannah has been in the hospitality industry for 7 years starting as a pot wash and building herself up from there, gaining lots of experience on her journey!

Along with being a force to be reckoned with Hannah is also one of the sweetest humans you can meet and will go above and beyond for every customer that walks through the door 🚪

Hannah actually wants to get into content creating and help other business build themselves up but taking away a load of the pressure for them! So give her a follow on instagram her name is The Hannah Edit

Emily is one of the sweetest, kindest most caring young women to ever walk on the earth!

I’m sure many of you have seen her whilst she’s working and know just how amazing she is at everything she puts her mind to! 🥇

Emily has actually just completed level 2 in TV & Media makeup with the goal to complete her level 3 soon! 💄
In her spare time Emily does wedding and special occasion make up and honestly the confidence she brings to people is a gift alone!

Jack has been working at the Red Lion since 2021 and was then inherited by Molly when the pub changed hands

Jack is OBSESSED with sport and the captain of his local football team and also plays for another local cricket team ⚽️🏏

With his polite mannerisms and top notch banter it’s hard not to like him even if he can be annoying sometimes…
