You may have heard that the clubhouse is currently closed following recent weather damage.

The GOOD NEWS is I spoke with reception today, and they’ve advised that the clubhouse is expected to reopen within the next few days.

In the meantime, you won’t miss out on the holiday fun! 🎉
All entertainment, including bingo, is currently taking place in the Boathouse Restaurant, so there’s still plenty to enjoy.

A little update for all of our lovely followers…
We’re so pleased to say that our caravan is back and ready to welcome guests! ✨

A huge shout-out to our amazing cleaner, who worked her socks off in the heat today to get the caravan looking like new again following the recent events.

Unfortunately, some of the damage won’t be repaired for another couple of months. However, we’ve put everything necessary in place to ensure the caravan is completely safe and comfortable for all of our guests. It might look a little different for a while, but it will still offer everything you need for a relaxing break and the chance to make wonderful family memories!

We’re now back up and running and can’t wait to welcome our guests this weekend! 👏🏻

We just wanted to say a huge thank you for all the love, kindness and support we’ve received this week from our amazing followers and fellow caravan owners ❤️

It’s been a very emotional week for us, but we’re happy to share that we’re making good progress in getting our caravan back to the happy place it once was.

Maintenance work is now underway, and everything apart from the new doors should be completed by the end of next week. Unfortunately, the replacement doors will take a couple of weeks to arrive, but we’ll have temporary measures in place so we can avoid cancelling any of our July bookings.

Thank you all so much for your patience, understanding and continued support—it really does mean the world to us.

A special thank you also goes to everyone who has continued to book future stays with us despite everything that’s happened. Your confidence in us means more than you know, and we can’t wait to welcome you all.

Here’s to brighter days ahead… onwards and upwards! 🙌🏼

Sadly, our caravan has suffered significant damage – but not from the weather, as many of you may assume. The damage was caused by someone who rented it from us. 💔

This is our family-owned caravan that we have loved and cared for over the last five years. It’s a place that’s given us so many special memories, and a couple of years ago we decided to start renting it out so that other families could enjoy Sandy Bay when we weren’t able to be there ourselves.

Up until now, we’ve been incredibly lucky to have wonderful guests who have treated our caravan as if it were their own.

This weekend, however, was very different.

Although the guest messaged us this morning to say there had been “damage to a door”, that was far from the truth when we arrived to assess the caravan ourselves. Unfortunately, she has now blocked both our phone number and Facebook Messenger, so we are currently trying other ways to make contact.

At the moment, the caravan is not fit to use, and we’re so sorry to those whose bookings have been affected. We have already contacted everyone impacted.

We’re hoping repairs and a deep clean can be completed within the next couple of weeks, so we’re optimistic that all later bookings will be able to go ahead as planned.

Thank you to everyone for your understanding, support and kind messages during what has been a really difficult time for us. It’s heartbreaking to see something we’ve worked so hard for left in this condition.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to cry again into my coffee….
