Two months ago, we had the privilege of welcoming 80 of the world’s leading agritourism professionals from 50 countries to Balkello Farm for the inaugural Global Agritourism Conference.

Delegates toured our working farm, immersing themselves in the serene seclusion and sweeping views of golden barley fields. Their enthusiastic feedback reinforced The Hideaway Experience as a benchmark for world-class farm stays and luxury rural escapes.

Guests were greeted by owners Caroline and Ross Millar, along with the Provost of Angus, Craig Fotheringham, who warmly welcomed them to Angus and Scotland, saying: “Tonight is really about hospitality, friendship and making connections before the conference begins in earnest. And I can think of no better place to do that than here at The Hideaway Experience.”

We’re truly proud that these global experts chose to experience our unique blend of Scottish farming heritage, regenerative agriculture, and the five-star eco-luxury that defines The Hideaway Experience.
