We have a new opportunity to join the team at Glenmore Lodge! This is an inspiring new position to lead the development and delivery of our expanding school residentials and youth programmes.

We're looking for a Training Programme Coordinator who:

⭐ Will work with colleagues, schools, and partners to design inclusive, high-quality programmes that support learning, wellbeing, and personal development
🌲 Will work closely with instructors, schools, governing bodies, and community organisations to help extend Glenmore Lodge's impact
🧭 Has a good understanding of the outdoor learning sector in Scotland, experience of collaborative working, and relevant outdoor qualifications
✅ Has strong planning, communication, and organisational skills

It's been awesome to see the development of both climbing skills and community at the Cairngorms Pride Q***r Climbing Socials over this summer. August's session and our next few have been supported by - here are the dates for your diary 👇

If you live locally in the Cairngorms, the Q***r Climbing Socials are a fun way to give climbing a shot while making friends with other LGBTQ+ folks in the area. Glenmore Lodge is proud to be hosting these as part of the Cairngorms Pride Social Spaces Network, and booking will open soon for the next two sessions

Sea kayaking is an amazing way to explore Scotland's coast, and our courses are the perfect introduction or chance to develop your skills so you can enjoy your own independent adventures

Last weekend's Discover Sea Kayaking had some fair winds and blue skies on day one, when they used Loch Morlich to introduce key skills and boost their confidence. On day two, the team headed to Cromarty and Souter Stacks where the dolphins made a brief appearance 🐬

For the second year running, a huge thank you to komoot for generously supporting our residential week in Aviemore, delivered in partnership with Able2Adventure and Glenmore Lodge .

With a busy season in full swing, we’ve been a little slow in getting around to sharing this post, but we didn’t want to miss the opportunity to recognise Komoot’s continued support for what has become a really important week in the off-road adaptive cycling calendar.

Their support helped us reduce the overall cost of attending the residential for our riders, helping make the week more accessible.

We also delivered a workshop looking at how komoot can be used for route planning and navigation, with a particular focus on the tools that can be valuable for adaptive riders. Features such as Trail View can help us get a better idea of the terrain we’re likely to encounter and even identify potential gates, barriers and other features before heading out on a ride.

Throughout the week, our leaders also used komoot to plan and navigate the routes for our rides and activities – putting those tools into practice out on the trails.

Technology can play a really useful role in making the outdoors more accessible, giving adaptive riders more information and confidence when planning where they can ride.

A massive thank you once again to komoot for getting behind the residential and helping us make another fantastic week in Aviemore possible. 🙌
