The efforts of those fighting the fire in our National Park has been heroic.
We thank every fire fighter, farmer, game keeper, estate worker, business and community members who have had their boots on the ground.
Thanks to those who have coordinated feeding and caring for the crews, and the updates from community leaders and wider organisations.
A scorched landscape, habitats lost and wildlife perished.
The Cairngorms has shown its vulnerability. Our community has shown its heart.
Most businesses are now open and we hope the remainder (the majority of those affected in the Glenmore corridor from Coylumbridge) will open very soon. Nethy Bridge is open and waiting to welcome you.
Please follow the guidance on access to affected areas. This remains an ongoing situation, with crews remaining on the ground.
