Carn Mhor Bed & Breakfast

Carn Mhor Bed & Breakfast Carn Mhor Bed and Breakfast, located in Aviemore in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park πŸ’™ We look forward to seeing you at Carn Mhor B&B!

We would like to welcome you to Carn Mhor B&B in Aviemore at the heart of the beautiful Cairngorms National Park. There are so many things to see and do in and around the Aviemore area whether it’s a leisurely game of golf at one of the strath’s superb courses; fishing for salmon or white water rafting on the River Spey; skiing and snowboarding at the Cairngorm ski area; or taking a stroll through

the beautiful surrounding countryside. And our small and friendly B&B is the perfect place to stay to enjoy it all. We pride ourselves on our comfortable and immaculately maintained accommodation and the delicious full Scottish breakfast or smoked salmon and scrambled eggs that we serve-up - although of course, we offer a continental alternative! Cairn Mhor B&B is located on the outskirts of Aviemore with views of the high tops of the world famous Cairngorms and the Craigellachie National Nature Reserve. However, it is only a 15 minute walk to the centre of Aviemore where there are a wealth of restaurants and bars offering a real taste of the Highlands. In the main house we have two family rooms with a double bed and single bed and en-suite facilities; and a double room with private shower room. And the annexe offers something a little different from most B&Bs. There are two family rooms in chalet style accommodation which are ideal for families with young children or groups such a skiers or hill-walkers, and a new seperate family room with ensuite shower room. All rooms have their own TV, DVD, Tea and Coffee making facilities and a hairdryer. and we have a decking area for guests wanting to enjoy the surrounding views. Adrian and Carol-Anne Craigs

This weekend and next week shaping up nicely for all you snow sport enthusiasts πŸ’™β„οΈπŸ’™β„οΈ

We are expecting further snowfall this week, but this will be accompanied by very strong winds that are likely to disrupt operations.

Wednesday 21 – OPEN
Winds will be increasing throughout the day, which means the upper lifts are unlikely to operate. We are currently expecting the beginner area and magic carpets to run, but heavy rain is forecast at the Base Station and conditions may be challenging.

Thursday 22 – CLOSED
Thursday is forecast to bring more severe conditions, with gusts exceeding 50mph at the Base Station alongside heavy snowfall. Due to the forecast, the mountain will be closed for snowsports, and the funicular and all facilities will not be operating.

Friday 23 – TBC
Snow is expected to continue through Friday. While winds may ease slightly at the Base Station, significant drifting snow is likely across the mountain. We will need to assess conditions on the day before confirming whether snowsports can operate. Ticket sales currently on hold.

Saturday 24 – TBC
Conditions are expected to become more settled heading into the weekend, although strong winds are still forecast at the Top Station. Ticket sales will remain on hold while we manage uplift capacity based on the conditions.

Sunday 25 – OPEN (weather dependent)
The current forecast for Sunday is more favourable, with lighter winds expected, including at the top of the mountain. We are aiming to open for snowsports as normal, but this will remain dependent on weather conditions closer to the day.

Please keep an eye on the forecast as the week progresses:

Lastnight we had the pleasure of hosting a drinks reception for the Falkirk Vs Celtic game.

We treated guests to our Artist Edition serves across the Executive Club Lounge and the Boardroom . We had the chance to engage with them and talk them through the artwork and what makes Kinrara a standout. The atmosphere at the stadium was electric and our special guest was delighted to be sipping on Kinrara Gin all evening with the fabulous team catering to everyones needs.

We would like to say a huge thank you to the club for inviting us to showcase our award winning range. Their professionalism and attention to detail was admired by all. We look forward to more events in partnership with them in the near future πŸ₯‚.
