This weekend and next week shaping up nicely for all you snow sport enthusiasts πβοΈπβοΈ
We are expecting further snowfall this week, but this will be accompanied by very strong winds that are likely to disrupt operations.
Wednesday 21 β OPEN
Winds will be increasing throughout the day, which means the upper lifts are unlikely to operate. We are currently expecting the beginner area and magic carpets to run, but heavy rain is forecast at the Base Station and conditions may be challenging.
Thursday 22 β CLOSED
Thursday is forecast to bring more severe conditions, with gusts exceeding 50mph at the Base Station alongside heavy snowfall. Due to the forecast, the mountain will be closed for snowsports, and the funicular and all facilities will not be operating.
Friday 23 β TBC
Snow is expected to continue through Friday. While winds may ease slightly at the Base Station, significant drifting snow is likely across the mountain. We will need to assess conditions on the day before confirming whether snowsports can operate. Ticket sales currently on hold.
Saturday 24 β TBC
Conditions are expected to become more settled heading into the weekend, although strong winds are still forecast at the Top Station. Ticket sales will remain on hold while we manage uplift capacity based on the conditions.
Sunday 25 β OPEN (weather dependent)
The current forecast for Sunday is more favourable, with lighter winds expected, including at the top of the mountain. We are aiming to open for snowsports as normal, but this will remain dependent on weather conditions closer to the day.
