Hampton View Holiday Barns, Whitford, Devon Hampton View Holiday Barns are 2 new, single story barn conversions nestled in the quiet village of Whitford, East Devon. Each barn has it's own patio.

There is plenty of parking and a large private garden. Hampton View Holiday Barns are both single story and have 2 bedrooms each. They are close to Lyme Regis, Seaton and Sidmouth. There is plenty of off road parking and a shared garden area. Perfect for walkers cyclists or for those who just want to get away to the countryside.

So we are now in the heart of winter, so what can we do on these chillier days?
Lyme Regis is just 7 miles away from our holiday barns. It's famous for its fossils, and for being the birthplace of Mary Anning, a renowned palaeontologist.
Many people visit here in the hope of finding their own fossils.
The best time for fossil hunting is in the winter when the sea is rough and bad weather loosens the soil in the cliffs and exposes more fossils.
I found the small gold coloured one on a recent trip, the larger one was found by Richard Edmonds, a guide, who found it whilst chatting to me on the beach.
