The last week has been unusually fresh’ for this time of year. The wind has blown occasionally, a few droplets have fallen from the skies, and the woodburners have still been crackling away in the evening! We look forward to warmth and the return of daily watering regimes, but have enjoyed spending time down at the Cobb, watching the local gig regatta, taking in morning coffee at Tom’s Lyme Regis. Our guests have been doing similarly, and there is no shortage of historic homes, long walks and eateries to while the days away.

We welcome lots of canine companions in our two larger cottages, and have been lucky enough to have our own poochy house...

We welcome lots of canine companions in our two larger cottages, and have been lucky enough to have our own poochy houseguest this week too! He has loved charging around our fully fenced fields, and flumping by the woodburner in the evening. Gorgeous!

Looking forward to the garden bursting at the seams again, now the shackles of Winter are cast aside. Pots looking good ...

Looking forward to the garden bursting at the seams again, now the shackles of Winter are cast aside. Pots looking good ahead of guests checking in this weekend. Muscari abundant, lavender trimmed, parsley and briza going mad already. Looking forward to scenes like this pic soon….granny’s bonnets, alchemilla, Harlow Carr rose, ceanothus and acer. Meantime, seedlings already potted on in the greenhouse. Looking forward to cutting blooms and filling vases for our lovely guests soon!!
