It is peak cowslip time at ValeView and amazingly all of these plants in our wildflower meadow have self sown from a single plant over the last 10 years - nature is truly amazing!

The flower beds at ValeView are bursting with colour in the late afternoon sunshine. Sadly, our guests this evening won't be arriving until after dark :( - but happily the forecast is for plenty of sun again tomorrow, in which to appreciate the floral display.

As January draws to a close, the Christmas festivities and New Year resolutions are just distant memories, but at least at ValeView we already have lots of reservations to look forward to in 2026 - bring on the guests!

At ValeView our Christmas Day guests have now departed. The fire has been lit and we are settling in for a day of movie watching / chocolate eating / sofa snoozing - hope your Boxing Day will be just as relaxing!

Our chillies are clearly starting to feel festive, as at last they are turning red to welcome the 1st of December tomorrow. However, we haven't quite worked out how to include them in the ValeView breakfast menu - any suggestions much appreciated.

Storm Benjamin may have blown many of the beautiful leaves off the trees but the wreath on the ValeView front door still gives our guests this weekend a really colourful autumnal welcome.

Over the last 5 years we have celebrated a number of guest birthdays at ValeView but today was our first wedding anniversary. Congratulations to Margaret and Joseph on 41 years of marriage - what an impressive partnership!
