It’s with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of the Kitchen here at The Hundred. The kitchen has been the engine room and has been my life for almost a decade. Over the last 9 (and a bit) years this amazing team and daily changing menu has built up an incredible group of loyal regulars. We will miss you all.

Over the last couple of years it has become increasingly difficult to sustain the business. We simply couldn’t find the staff we needed to keep the dining room and kitchen operating smoothly and as a result everyone’s work life balance has suffered. After much soul searching, we decided that the only way to maintain our small teams health and sanity was to close the kitchen. I would like to thank all of our customers for their support over the years. But more importantly a huge thank you to every single brilliant individual past and present that joined the team and helped create a little bit of magic here at The Hundred.

The B&B and bar will remain in operation for now.

We will endeavour to contact all table bookings for the coming weeks ahead.

Our last lunch service is this Sunday 6th November. Saturday and Sunday are looking busy but we have plenty of availability before the weekend. We’d love to see you all xx

FULL TIME FRONT OF HOUSE PERSON

The Hundred of Ashendon

The Pub is tucked away down a cul-de-sac in the rural village of Ashendon in Buckinghamshire.
The values of old-fashioned pub hospitality are at the core of The Hundred. Personable, friendly and informal service from knowledgeable staff.
Food is at the heart of our pub. Unpretentious, thoughtfully combined flavours. Well sourced ingredients. A seasonal menu that changes daily.
Conversation is at the heart of our atmosphere, a place to meet and share ideas over food and wine.
Serving wine from lesser-known grape varieties and small producers, carefully selected to compliment the food. Alongside well-kept rotating real ales, fresh draught beers and an eclectic selection of spirits.

This is a genuinely fantastic opportunity to assist running this local landmark.
For the right person, we will offer an excellent package.
plus staff discounts and flexible working hours.
15 minutes from Thame, 10 minutes from Haddenham, 5 minutes from Waddesdon.
