One of Scotland’s most recognisable aircraft, the iconic G-DRAM "Wee DRAM", will be taking to the skies at The International Ayr Show – Festival of Flight on Saturday 5 September 2026.

Flown by local pilot Hamish Mitchell, the distinctive amphibious aircraft is a firm favourite with aviation enthusiasts and families.

You can look forward to an exciting flying demonstration showcasing the aircraft’s versatility and agility. Hamish will also perform the crowd-pleasing "Splash and Go" manoeuvre on the water off Ayr shorefront.

Greenan Castle is a 16th century ruined tower house, around 2.5 miles south west of Ayr in South Ayrshire. Situated at the top of a sea cliff, it was originally a promontory fort converted into a motte and bailey in the 12th century and you can get great views from the beach as you take a stroll.

A great place to stop and take some photos on your journey round the SWC300!
