After eight happy years of trading, I have decided to retire from the B&B business.

I would like to thank all of our guests, many of whom have become personal friends, for giving us this wonderful life experience.

Ascots House had guests from 49 countries, and although we didn't quite make the Big 50, we leave with a wealth of knowledge and experience, and memories of many happy days (and surprisingly few disasters!)

It’s smooooothie time again! raw beetroot and kale with fresh ginger, fresh turmeric root and cloudy apple juice. It’s mother-earthy and delicious!

Coronavirus

Just to reassure our visitors that we are actively taking additional precautions to prevent guests becoming exposed to Coronavirus. This is in addition to our usual rigorous cleaning schedule and we do all of our laundry in-house.

At home: make sure you don’t spread it by carrying disposable tissues and using them when you sneeze, washing your hands regularly, and drying them on disposable paper towels.

Masks (which don’t cover your eyes) don’t work to prevent you getting the disease.

Get lots of rest (preferably at a super clean Guest House).

We call this the ‘flu’ buster: coconut milk, gogi berries, walnuts, blueberries, mango, chia seeds, flax seeds, kale, spinach, fresh ginger, granola, and cinnamon.

It tastes better than it sounds!

Let’s go for a walk in the beautiful Berkshire countryside.

We can recommend walks and cycle tracks for all levels of fitness, accompanied if you wish (we have an enthusiastic ladrador).

Within 10mins walk we can reach the elegant Herschel Park for short walks in formal gardens, or Lascelles Park for a quick burn off round the track (free tennis courts) then there’s 160 acres of Upton Court Park for long walks and mushroom hunting, and the grounds of Eton College by the River Thames just beyond.

Within 10mins drive we have Windsor Great Park, Black Park, famous for Pinewood Film Studios, and Langley Park with its nationally significant rhododendron, azalea and camellia collection.

If it’s this nice in the dead of winter, just imagine what it will be like when spring is sprung!
