As we come into summer I'd like to introduce you to our little team who make everything special for our guests.

Today I'd like to introduce Eva who has worked with us for over 9 years now, and has been our main Housekeeper since the first year we opened. Eva also helps with breakfast service.

On her first day she told me she loves cleaning, and she has certainly proved that, taking a real pride in her work - we consistently score full marks or '5 stars' for cleanliness across all the review sites!

We are located at the northern end of this amazing and beautiful circular driving route around South West Scotland. There are so many hidden gems in this area

As you wind your way down to Ballantrae on the South West Coastal 300, the incredible Ailsa Craig comes into view and it's a sight you do not want to miss.

We love this corner of our route!

A beautiful sunny morning in Ayr today for a pre-breakfast walk! Today I was admiring the old architectural of the town in the morning light.

Today we enjoyed a really warm sunny day in the garden, but this evening we had a heavy hail shower 🤷...we look forward to seeing the sunshine again tomorrow morning! 🙂

Lots of Laburnum and Lilac in flower on this morning's pre-breakfast service walk..and it is to stay dry today which is great because I'm helping later at a Charity Golf Day today run by the Rotary Club of Ayr...and it is set to raise £7000 to £8000 for local charities!

Rarely open to the public, the Boswell Trust is delighted to welcome visitors to Auchinleck House for curated tours led by Gordon Turnbull, former General Editor of the Yale Boswell Editions.

Auchinleck House, a villa built as a country retreat in the Palladian style, was the family seat of Ayrshire's Boswell family. Built in 1755-60 by James Boswell's father Alexander, Lord Auchinleck, 8th Laird and a rich lawyer, the estate was inherited by James Boswell, aged 41, in 1782.

By the 1970s it was derelict, uninhabited and at risk. The Scottish Historic Buildings Trust first intervened, then turned to the Landmark Trust who restored the house in 2001.
