We pride ourselves on delivering 1st class food, service & hospitality. All of our Rooms have the booking option of either bed & breakfast or dinner, bed & breakfast. Our

dinner menu is a stunning country house hotel style 3 course menu focusing on stunning local produce and seasonality. At Lunch we offer a more laid back affair, with 2-courses from just £34pp including our delicious traditional Sunday Lunch.

We’re delighted to announce that Michael from Hope Valley Vineyard will be joining us for an exclusive lunch event!

Nestled in the hills above Hathersage, Hope Valley Vineyard is a small, family-run vineyard led by owner Michael. Producing only a limited number of bottles each year, the vineyard now focuses exclusively on traditional method sparkling wines, crafted using the same techniques as those used in Champagne.

On the day, you’ll have the chance to taste both their white and rosé sparkling wines, hear Michael share the story behind the vineyard, and, if you find a favourite, you’ll also have the opportunity to purchase bottles to take home.

We can’t wait to welcome you for what promises to be a fantastic afternoon of great food and exceptional local wine. 🍾

Meet the Team! Today we’re introducing the suave young man himself… 😍

Name: Ollie
Role: Front of House

Ollie has been part of the team for just over two years. He first joined us in the kitchen washing pots before discovering his passion for front of house – and we haven’t looked back since!

When he’s not busy striking a pose for the camera, you’ll find him in the restaurant making sure every guest has the best possible experience. From the moment you arrive until the moment you leave, Ollie goes above and beyond to make your visit as seamless and enjoyable as possible.

For such a young lad, his work ethic is second to none, and he genuinely takes pride in making sure everyone leaves with a smile on their face.

Next time you’re in and you spot Ollie, be sure to tell him how good his new hairstyle looks… it’ll definitely make his day! 🤣

Meet the Team! Legend Edition

Name: John
Position: Pastry Chef / Head Chef / Sous Chef

Anybody who has dined with us over the past 30 years has, more than likely, eaten some of John’s food.

John was our Head Chef for 26 years before deciding it was time to pass the torch to our current Head Chef, Kyle Leek-Spooner , whom he still mentors to this day. He is the epitome of what a leader should be: level-headed, professional, and always able to make himself both your friend and someone who is an absolute pleasure to be around and work with.

Everyone loves John, and rightly so.

He’s a big advocate for animal welfare, with some of his favourite animals being the African Black Rhino and the Sumatran Orangutan.

Still searching for somewhere to enjoy Father’s Day lunch? Join us at Riverside House Hotel this Sunday!

Our lunch service is full but we have availability for tables in the evening 6.30-8pm, so there’s plenty of time to treat Dad to a great meal. To avoid missing out, we recommend booking in advance – just visit our website or give us a call.
