Just had a cancellation for Room 1 for the 17th, 18th and 19th November, this would be a great weekend to be in this area, not only has Chatsworth got it's Christmas Market and Christmas House decorations on for those dates but Haddon Hall has also got it's Artisan Fair on as well, if you want to see the inside of the Hall dressed for Christmas but filled with beautiful Artisan items this is the only weekend that all three events are on at the same time. We are only 15 mins from both Chatsworth and Haddon Hall. Give us a call if you would like to take advantage of the availability for all or any of the dates x x

Chatsworth House has just announced their Christmas theme for this year a "Nordic Christmas". This will be an amazing experience with the house and gardens lit up and the house dressed with a Nordic theme. The house and gardens open for the Christmas viewings on the 5th Nov which is also the date their Christmas Market starts, the market finishes on the 23rd Nov but the house and gardens continue to be open until early Jan with the exception of a few days over Christmas, all details can be found on their web site. We still have a few dates available for the B&B during this period and being 15 minutes away from Chatsworth House ideally suited to visit the house and market x treat yourself to a lovely afternoon shopping the market or admiring the house and gardens and getting into the Christmas spirit. Call us for availability or check the website x x

The Garden Bed & Breakfast is still open for bookings, we are in the lowest tier re the governments tier system and the local pubs / restaurants are all open. We do take the situation seriously with each room having a deep clean lasting 3 hours between guests this means that we are unable to offer any earlier check-ins before 4 pm we hope you understand. Kind regards Karen.

We are now taking bookings for the Bed & Breakfast. We were happy with our cleaning routine but in light of the current situation we have also implemented several changes to comply with government guidelines. The rooms have their own hand sanitiser in them and are cleaned with a suitable spray. A deep clean will of course take place after each guest has departed in time for the next guest to arrive. We hope that visitors are able to come and relax and enjoy their stay with us and we will take on board any suggestions that may help us provide a good service. x x we look forward to seeing you soon.

It's been very difficult finding the right locally sourced produce for the breakfasts but we think we have found the right local butcher for their home produced bacon and sausage. We are using the eggs from the local farm that we use for the Tea Room as well as organic mushrooms and tomatoes. Mark is making his own hash browns based on our visit to America earlier this year and I am doing the fruit compote's. Freshly baked breads for toast with some homemade jams, taken overlooking the Lathkill Dale, though we have to stop Maisie and Bonnie from sitting next to our guests looking adoringly at them whilst they have their breakfast. x

Just had our eighth guests stay for three nights. It was a pleasure having John and Claire stay with us. They were exhibiting their beautiful yarns and hand knitting at the Wool Gathering in Bakewell, an annual event that showcases anything to do with wool and some crafts. Bakewell is just 2 miles from us so very easy to access all its amenities. Thank you Claire and John and we look forward to seeing you again next year x
