🚂 Bank Holiday Weekend Gala 🚂

We’ve just published the full timetable for our upcoming Bank Holiday Weekend Gala on our website, so you can start planning your visit and working out which trains you want to catch!

There’s also something rather special to look forward to… Bagnall saddle tank locomotive ‘Dorothy’ is due to emerge fresh from overhaul and, all being well, will be back in action for the gala!

We’re keeping our fingers crossed that she doesn’t suffer any post-overhaul teething problems and that she’ll be putting on a fantastic show for everyone over the weekend.

Although we’ve had some rain, the fire pit and coal BBQ ban remains in force.
The ground is still too dry, and we need to see a lot more green growth before it’s safe again.
Thank you for your understanding and for helping us protect the park.

🔥 Important Safety Update 🔥

Due to the ongoing weather conditions and our grass now turning into straw, we have made the decision to ban all fires and coal BBQ’s for the foreseeable future.

Only gas BBQ’s will be allowed, but they must be attended at all times and operated safely.

We’re really sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but the safety of our guests and our site will always come first.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Thinking of something to do tomorrow? Why not make a day of it in Dolgellau - just a 30 minute drive from us - at the Merioneth County Show.

A brilliant day out for all the family, with animals, local crafts, food stalls, displays, and that great countryside show atmosphere. If you’re staying with us, it’s the perfect excuse for a little adventure off-site before heading back to relax at the park.

We’ve had a little family of swift/swallow/house martins nesting right here at the campsite this season, and their chicks have now officially left the nest. It’s been such a lovely bit of nature to witness around the park.

(If any of our bird-loving followers can help us identify the species, we’d love to know!)
