Not all the best views in Tiree are of the coast! This was taken in March during a short spell of calm, dry weather.

This was one of the best periods of weather this year and would have made for fun camping!

Apologies to anyone booking Watersports as well as camping for our apparent lack of email contact from [email protected]

See below:

“Email communication resumed…

We are pleased to report that after a gruelling couple of days, we have been able to reestablish our email communication via [email protected]

We are not sure how long our outgoing mail (responses to clients) had been failing for but we suspect it was a period of weeks before we became fully aware of the problem. Normal service however has now resumed!

Please contact us via our website booking form to place sports bookings or email us direct with general queries or enquiries.

Telephone/sms/Whatsaap is also equally acceptable on 07712159205

We apologise again for any inconvenience but this was regrettably beyond our control.”

Official reopening date!

Hooray! In line with advice being offered by the Scottish Government and Visit Scotland, we hope to be able to reopen on the 1st of May 2021.

Here is hoping for fine weather for the first week of May!!!

We look forward to welcoming campers back to Balinoe and hope that visitors will respect the islands sensitivities towards the resumption of tourism while the world continues to deal with an escalating pandemic.

See you all soon!

27/09/20 – Covid 19 Update

Please note that we strongly advise booking with Caledonian MacBrayne, before booking with us. Our ferry operator is currently operating at a substantially lower capacity than normal. Tickets will be very hard to get to travel to Tiree at peak times.

Our (hot) showers & toilet facilities are available for use but our main facilities block (kitchen area) will remain closed until it is clear that we can reopen this. This means that access to cooking facilities, fridges and freezers, sink and indoor communal areas will not be offered just yet. Please bear with us until it is clear that we can reopen these facilities. Electric hook up, cold tap water, Wi fi and chemical waste disposal will be available. We only have 10 hook up points so we expect available pitches to book up quickly: https://tireecampsite.co.uk/camp-on-tiree

Please ensure you are as self contained as possible if you plan to visit (Ability to do your own washing up and to cook (self contained) or bring proper camping food/eat out, is the current status quo). Travel insurance is advisable to have in place for any holiday or break but we strongly advise all travellers to have holiday insurance in place at this time.

Please respect the local community, many of whom are still very nervous about welcoming visitors back. Do not approach people on a close and personal basis and avoid contact at this time where possible. Masks are essential in shops and public facilities.

We accept camper vans, caravans & tents. It is possible to bring large motorhomes/caravans to our site. Our campsite has no staff on site on a permanent basis. We only staff our site for two hours after the ferry arrival time each day and accordingly we would ask campers to make their way to us immediately on arrival so that we can arrange pitching and introduce campers to the range of facilities. If travelling to Tiree by another method, or if you are already on holiday on the island before arrival with us, please contact us if the timings mentioned above do not work for any reason.
