Halloo folkses. Maddy here, cos it’s .

I owes you alls a big apawlagy. I donts know where my head was last week.
Firstses I forgot to tell you baby piney’s new name.
You were very kind and gave us lots of suggestables.
I liked Marmite, Daddy wanted Piney Minogue (tut tut rolled eyes), Biggar sister voted for Piney McPineyface (because she was asked not to. Bigger tut tut eye roll) Littler sister voted for Haggis, and Mummy wanted Pinecone.
So piney is now called Pinecone, because as Mummy reminded us all, “This is not a democracy”. Daddy told me it is a benevolent dictatorship, and we have to make the most of the benevolences. Life is good.
So, thank you Jenny Clough and Jane Morrison for the suggestable and to everybody else who gave us ideas.

I have to say sorry too for some of the photos last week. Instadoodle and Facebonk took it upon themselves to chop them down and make them look funny and I didn’t notice before I pressed go. So, I am showing them too you again along with some others from this week.

Daddy thought my botches might have been because I have been working too hard and I deserved a holibob so we went away for a couple of days for a rest. I have come home bouncyful and reddy for the last five weeks of the season (that’s 35 doggy weeks for me).
I’ll tell yous all about our holibob next week but the first two piccies will give you a cloo as to where we went. Can you guess.

Anyhoo I’m off. Catch you next week.

Halloo folkses. Maddy here, cos it’s .
For any of yous readin this who fancy plannin a break here I decided I would tell you what my famalams faveritful places to go and things to do are.
Daddy. His happiful day would be to take the Corran ferry and drive to Castle Tioram in Loch Moidart. There are lots of castles near us but this is his favouritest. He likes old ruins, perhaps becos he is one.
Mummy. She would go to the beaches at Camusdarach and the silvery sands of Morar. They really are beeootiful and also where her favouriteful fillum Local Hero was fillumd.
Biggar sister and her finance, Mummy’s Favourite child. Easy choice for them. They love the outdoors and a challenge, so would head for Aonach Eagach, the Notched Ridge adjoining two of the Munros that they have been bagging in Glen Coe. I would find this very scaryful and you has to know what you is doin and be prepared.
Littler sister is always happy to be in, on or near the water. She is weird. I hate baths and showers. But put her in a kayak in Cuil Bay, or Bishops Bay and she is in her element.
But what about me? There is noffin in this world that I like more than a trip to the National Trust Visitor Centre or The Linnhe at Castle Stalker with my besties for coffee. I get spoilt with tummy rubs, snackses and walkies. It makes me very exciteful.
If you fancy doing any of these things take a looks at the activities pages on www.discoverglencoe.scot . Enjoy your planning.

Anyhoo I’m off. Catch you next week.

folkses. Maddy here, cos it’s .
No influenzaing this week. I have filled all our rooms until October so I’m havin a well-earned snooze.
Daddy is always saying how importentful it is to get peopleses names right so I was confuzzled this week when he didn’t call me Maddy or Good girl, or Maddy Moo, or Maddy the Madster which are all my soodonims. Instead he called me Puppydoo.
Puppydoo I ask you? I think he has losted the plot. Next it’ll be Maddy MacMaddy Face. He needs seriousful help methinks.
Anyhoo talkin of names we have a baby piney came knockin at the window this week. We can’t call him Piney cos that is his Daddy (or Mummy; we are not sure) so please let me have your ideases as to what you think would be a good name.
But please not Piney MacPiney Face. Leave a comment below with your idea.Don;t leave it to Daddy. Goodness knows what he would call him.
Anyhoo I must go now. Catch you next week.

Halloo folkses. Maddy here, cos it’s .
It is always funful when we see some birdses in the garden for the firstest time, so Daddy was happiful to see two collared doves this week. He said to mummy that they looked like a pair of love birds, just like him and her. She gave him a very odd look. I think she thinks he is daft as a brush, but she luvs him really, though not as much as she luvs me of course. .
On Wednesday I went up the hill with Mummy and my besties to watch it go dark with something they called a pole of the clips. I took my speshul specktickles so my eyes wouldn’t hurt, but I didn’t need them as it was cloudy. Still, it was a lovely walk with my faverit peeps.
Daddy stayed at home to wait for guestses. There have been a very lot of them this week from all over the world. There have also been quite a few who knocked on the door wanting to be guests cos they had not booked anywhere. That’s not a good idea here in August, cos I have done such good infuenzaing and we are already full. I hopes they found somewhere.
Anyhoo I must go now. Catch you next week.

Halloo folkses. Maddy here, cos it’s .
This week I have been teached about pecking orders. Daddy was watching the birdses queuing for the seeds and said that the pecking order didn’t seem to be what you might expect. The littlest birds go first and are the feistiest and are top dogs. The bigger birdses are real scaredy cats and fly off at the slightest danger. I like it that top dogs come before scaredy cats.
Anyhoo Mummy then explaynd the pecking order for us. The guestses come first then Mummy, then me, then favourite child (that is Biggar sisters hubby-to-be) then Biggar sister and Littler sister equal fifth, Bruce the robot hoover at seventh. Oh, and then Daddy at eighth, though probs the birdses, squiggles and piney all come before him too.
Anyhoo, with the birdses in mind, I tested the pecking order of doggos this week. Little doggos are often the ones that woof at me, so when I saw what I thought was a horseamajig at first, but was actchually a mahoosive doggo, I thought it must be below me in the pecking order. I gave it my best woof. What a what a mistake-a to make-a! It woofed back with a woof loud enough to wake a deaf dormouse. Run away! I shan’t be doing that again. I know my place, just like Daddy knows his.
Anyhoo I must go now. Catch you next week.

Halloo folkses. Maddy here, cos it’s .
Yesterday, as I was munchin on my first brekkie of smoked salmon, poached egg, kipper and sausage I was countin my blessins. Number one blessin was our guestses. Without them I would have to settle for that tinned and dried stuff that they give me when there are no guestses titbits to be had.
Don’t get me wrong, I am grateful to be fed, but I make my displeasure known by giving mummy and daddy “the look” when I am not given what I really really want.
My sisters taught me “the look”, which they have perfected” It involves no words and no movement, just a hard stare in a……..“Really? You can do better than that”…… way until Mummy and Daddy see the error of their ways.
So, when Daddy said yesterday that we had had a cancellation next week I had a panic. No guestses means no gourmet brekky items.
Sos if any of yous lot need a break and want to keep me fed in the manner I wish to be accustomed we have a luverly room for two availabubble on Sunday 9th, Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th August. There are some piccies today of reasons to stay here for a few days and of my "Look".
Failing that if you fancy an Autumn break we have lots of space in October.
Anyhoo I must go check my food bowl. You never know what might have turned up.

Halloo folkses. Maddy here, cos it’s .
I had the most wonderfullest sirprize this weekend when my Biggar sister came to visit me. As a speshul treat for mummy we went to Oban to see an amazeaballs boat. She is always in her happy place when we go to Oban and see the ferries, but this was a Spanish Galleon called Galeón Andalucía. It is a full-size replica.
The Spanish boatses which bought soldiers to Scotland in 1719 to help the Scots put James back on the throne must have looked like this.
Daddy says they sailed into Loch Duich and joined the Jacobites at Eilean Donan castle. But they were attacked by the Royal Navy who captured the castle. The Jacobites and Spanish who managed to escape were beaten by the British Army at the Battle of Glen Shiel the following month
One of the mountains in Glen Shiel is called Sgurr nan Spainteach, or "Peak of the Spaniards" in honour of the Spanish who fought alongside the Clansmen.
Biggar sis is going to Glenshiel next week to climb some mountains, and lots of our guestses visit Eilean Donan Castle which was rebuilt.
Anyhoo, it was anuvver luverly day. There is always so much to see and learn in this fabidoo country. See you next week.

Halloo folkses. Maddy here, cos it’s .
Sos last week I told you I would tell you where we went with Daddy’s Biggest Brother and Mrs Biggest Brother.
We went to the fartherest west you can go on the Britishland mainland. It was fabuloso.
The day started with me choosing where to sit in the roadmonster, but I was not allowed to stay there. Meanies.
Anyhoo, first we took the ferry and then drove through some of the most beatifullest scenery in Scotlandland to the Ardnamurchan lighthouse which was built by the uncle of Robert Louis Stevenson in 1849.
I had a picanic of yummy sausage rollses and then we went to Sanna Bay for a walk on the beach. Mummy tried to make me go for a paddle in the water, but no fear was I doing that. If she had got me wet, I would have got Daddy to show you the piccies of her in the water. But I (and she) escaped that.
It was one of the bestest days and if you are ever this way you should treat yourself to a drive west. Anyhoos, see you next week.

Halloo folkses. Maddy here, cos it’s .
Do yous has a hobby? Mine is famalam. I am so happiful when they come to see me. My Biggar sister and her finance John came this weekend. And Daddy’s big brother and Mrs. big brother. I thought my tail was going to come off it was so waggiful.
Anyhoo Biggar sister has a hobby of going up mountains. She calls it Munro bagging. She has bagged 96 But there are 282 in Scotlandland so she has a long way to go. She says that we can share some of her piccies from her Instagranny pagey thing called so I has chosen some of the ones near here. I hopes you like them. John has a page on the interweb all about Munros. You should have a look It is called www.munroaming.co.uk
She and John spend a lot of time planning their hikes and are always well equipped. Before they bagged two more yesterday, they did some serius preparationing by eating steak, drinking wh**ky and staying up late and then celebrated with chish and fips after.
How many of the places in the piccies do you know?
Anyhoo see yous next week. I’ll tells you wot else I did this weekend, and mummy's happifullest hobby.

Halloo folkses. Maddy here, cos it’s .
Mummy and Daddy have been wurryin that they haven’t see squiggles much lately. Apparuntly a piney most days isn’t goodenuff. I rememembered that they were stressful this time last year too so Daddy checked my Maddy Monday this time last year and realised that the squiggles went missing for 288 days last year and returned at the end of June. So, all is not lost.
Anyhoo to keep them happy here are some of my faverite squiggle photos. Lets hopes we has some new ones soon.
Must go now. I heard Mummy say it was time I had a B…A….T….H. She thinks I can’t spell.
See yous next week
