As autumn begins, evenings are getting shorter, but no less beautiful 😍
Sunset is around 8pm just now in Glenfinnan, but by midwinter, it will be around 3.40pm. a reduction from nearly 18 hours of sunlight in midsummer, to under 7 hours! ⌛
In mid-afternoon, mid-December, the sun will fall precisely between the mountains at the far end of Loch Shiel - one of nature's most incredible sights 🌅
If you haven't witnessed that before, we suggest you start to plan for a winter visit...
Nb. You'll have Glenfinnan to yourself and plenty of parking spaces available (as well as a ScotRail train service that combines perfectly with sunset-spotting) 😊👍
