Today is International Tea Day 🌿 so we’re celebrating with a sauna session, a river dip, then back to the teepee for a wild brew by the fire.
Here are a few of the teas our sauna guests can enjoy after their session at this time of year, along with some of their traditional uses:
Photo 1: Lady’s Mantle (Alchemilla)
Traditionally used to support women’s reproductive health and help ease cramps.
Photo 2: Birch buds - just beginning to sprout. Traditionally used to gently support the body’s natural cleansing processes and reduce inflammation.
Photo 3: Pine needles - the young spring tips are more flavoursome and less bitter. A natural source of vitamin C, traditionally brewed to support immunity, soothe inflammation and help with colds or congestion.
Photo 4: Nettle - the new leaves in spring are traditionally considered more energetically “vital” in spring. Traditionally used to support seasonal allergies.
