discover snorkeling experience on saturday 30th May at 12pm and our
PADI advanced snorkeler on Sunday 31st May at 1pm

For those who have enquired about the PADI snorkel guide course here are the details.
Before the course begins you will need to complete an online EFR primary and secondary first aid course or have a valid first aid qualification from another agency, I can provide the EFR course for £89 but please WhatsApp me a copy of any other certificate you might already have.

The snorkel guide course costs £250 and includes 2 full days (or 4 half days) covering everything needed to become a self employed snorkeling guide.

We cover planning excursions, care for the environment, equipment, rescue scenarios, delivering a briefing, leading a snorkeling tour, etc etc

Once completed your application will be sent to PADI for processing, there is a membership fee of £70 to be paid to PADI and also an annual membership fee of £70 thereafter.

Once you recieve your PADI membership number you are good to go, you can apply for jobs as a snorkeling guide, start your own business, apply your new skills to an existing job, crucially you can now get professional liability insurance and have access to PADI legal documents for your new enterprise.

While it has been absolutely lovely to welcome new life to Budle Bay Croft recently, anyone who has the joy of keeping sheep knows there is also heartache. So sad to have lost our beautiful Badger Face Beryl last night.

Skip and jump over the rainbow paddock with Claret, Hamish, Bobbie, Harry Trotter, Snooty and George Klune Klune. Thank you being such a lovely, friendly girl. 🌈🐑🥺

More new life on Budle Bay Croft over Easter holidays!

These gorgeous little Jacob girls were named Astrid and Emily by our special guests Lucy and Amelia. If anything is born during your stay, you get to name it! Astrid is particularly suited to her nae as she has a number of spots on her fleece that resemble stars!

Astrid and Emily will go on two years from now to hopefully have their own babies as their mums Lucy and Amelia did this year. Amelia had a health boy called Charcuterie to be slowly reared on grass and when ready expertly cured by Hammond Charcuterie into Cyprus inspired salami for The Northumbrian Artisan Pizza Company’s pizza cipriot.

Did you know that when a ewe gives birth the flock come to congratulate her and welcome the new borns. It has happened very single time we have lambed. Maybe it happens everywhere. Maybe it happens because we have a small flock. Either way it still give us a warm glow in our hearts. Nature is truly beautiful!
