Time for an update! Koru Cottage is available for short stays and longer breaks. We still have some availability in June, July and August, so please check out availability and rates at www.glororum.com.

Dolphins have been seen in and around the Farne Islands and from the harbours and beaches! And the weather is warming up (hopefully)! Time to book that summer escape on the beautiful Northumberland coast.

Going through our booking system saves the extra fees applied by many of the other booking sites! And if you find it cheaper elsewhere please let me know!

Just a couple of photos of the updated front bedroom. Spring has definitely sprung around Glororum with lots of frolicking lambs in the fields and gorgeous new greenery everywhere.

It's been a great summer (with the exception of a few rather blustery days) with some fabulous guests who have enjoyed the stunning views and local attractions around the Northumberland coast. Here are some recent photos. The fields have been full of activity including a tipi village for a local wedding reception (thank you Liz for the photos).

It's been a while since the last post! Where does time fly? Relatively quiet time over winter, but we had some lovely toasty evenings by the fire, brisk walks through the fields and football on deserted beaches. Plus a bit of sand sledging - awesome fun even for the oldies - albeit a seriously knackering workout. Several mornings we were coaxed outside by noisy, migrating geese (I think), casting massive 'V's in the sky.

At the end of July, we advertised Koru Cottage on Owners Direct and we have had some fantastic guests over the past few weeks. Fortunately the weather has been super and hopefully they've had a fun time exploring the Northumberland coast and relaxing in the cottage.

The weather's not so great now we are here for our summer break (always the way!!), but we climbed Yeavering Bell (near Wooler) today and enjoyed some spectacular views from the top.

We are still adding some finishing touches to the cottage. From the front and balcony at the back you can see the wheat ripening and the fields turning a gorgeous golden colour.

Absolutely awesome boat trip to the Farne Islands with Billy Shiels. Bottlenose dolphins, sunbathing seals, dive-bombing terns, fluffy chicks, castle views and calm seas. Just doesn't get any better on the Northumberland coast.
